For this Assignment, you will do research in the Library concerning discrimination so you can better understand the application of anti-discrimination law as applied in the work setting. This comprises a large segment of employment law. It is important to know this law for compliance purposes as a Human Resource professional, as a business manager, and as an owner or executive of an organization.

Find an article in the Library under “Course Resources.”

Search for an article that describes an organization that was involved in a discrimination case. The case could be based on discrimination related to age, race, gender, religion, disability, or national origin. Write a minimum 2-page APA formatted paper that addresses the following questions:

1. What happened in the case? Provide a summary of what actions led to the discrimination claim.
2. What was the employment law that was cited in the case? Provide a brief description of the law.
3. What penalties/fines were involved? Describe any negative consequences that occurred as a result of the organization’s actions.
4. What should the organization have done to have prevented the discrimination claim? Identify the steps the organization should have taken to prevent the discrimination case from occurring.
