The treatment of women, the common conceptions of their roles and how they are supposed to act in accordance to norms. are well criticized by Ibsen. This interesting characterization of women will be criticized even more deeply in this paper, looking at the main characters of the play and focusing mainly on the theme on feminism by showing how Nora is treated by her father and her husband.

Feminism concerns itself with the quest of women being equal with the leading gender.
