Interdisciplinary collaboration can produce a winning scenario all around.

For patients, it improves care by increasing coordination of services and empowers patients to become active partners. For healthcare professionals, it encourages innovation and increases job satisfaction.

For healthcare systems, it offers more efficient care delivery, maximizes the use of resources, and facilitates continuous quality improvement. Studies have shown that interdisciplinary collaboration leads to insights and solutions that may never have been achieved by one healthcare professional working alone.

Patient-Centered Medical Home would be effective for healthcare units in delivering quality service to the patients. Under this care, the patient treatment can be effectively coordinated via primary care physician. As a result of that, the patients would be able to receive required care and services from healthcare staff promptly.
