They believe Jesus died on the cross and resurrected so therefore we must resurrects as well. They believe the soul is immortal and that the resurrection helps gives purpose and meaning to life on earth. Upon Judgement day, they will go to heaven if they lived a good life here on earth. If they do not live by the scriptures god has set forth and live in sin they will not go to heaven (06clared, 2010).
Death is not always an end for some cultures death may be a time of transition which is like the lifetime of man. It is a part of life, a time of transition such as religion was as well a part of life which was joined with the culture. A culture which did not focus on what happens on earth depends on where we go after we die but focus was more on the now and trying to balance life. It was not time well spent if focused on dying and what comes next or punishment and rewards (Ojibwa, 2014).
